Welcome to the University of Chicago Bahá'í Association website!

The goal of the Bahá'í Association is to create a forum for discussion and action based on the writings and teachings of the Bahá'í Faith.  We believe the guidance provided by the writings of the Bahá'í Faith are valuable resources for personal transformation or to augment any course of study here at the University of Chicago – economics, sociology, the visual and dramatic arts, philosophy, or even biology. Thus, our activities and events (discussion groups, devotinal gatherings, community involvement, lectures, etc.) are designed for anyone and everyone interested in personal or social change through these principles. We invite you to look through our events calendar or navigate our website for more tangible examples of our aims.

Upcoming Event:

Monday, May 23, 8:00 pm in Cobb Hall Room 214

"A Review and Discussion of Bahá'u'lláh's The Hidden Words"

The Hidden Words is one of the most widely distributed and popular books of Bahá'í Writings. We will discuss how The Hidden Words (revealed by Bahá'u'lláh in 1858) enables us to understand our nature and purpose from a Bahá'í standpoint. A brief overview of its history and context will be given, followed by a reading of some excerpts and then general discussion. (some excerpts have also been posted on the about page)
